I was advised that I 100% deficient in Vitamin C and need to find a safe vitamin C supplement asap. My dcctor located a possible source and I am investigating it. Here is the product:

Does anyone know if I should be concerned about cassava root (tyucca) or stearic acid??

    Thanks a million,
    Sylvia :)

    Sylvia,

If you find that cassava is free of salicylates, then you could try the powder version by the same manufacturer. It only has cellulose as a filler:

I've read that people only need to consume a small amount (less than 100 mg a day) of vitamin C to prevent a deficiency.

Good to know there may be another source of vitamin c I may tolerate.. I eat only parsley and celery and know I am not getting enough vitamin c from that.

I am taking the Tapioca vitamin c ... I have it with all of the other supplements I can take and need when taken with the Phenol Assist enzymes.
I am currently taking 1 or 2 dry E by Jarrow
3 capsules of the powder.. ie I throw out the capsule of Tapioca C by Ecological Formulas\
    a teaspoon of dmannose
    1 caprylic acid capsule.\\
1 zinc carbonate by Thorne Research
All with currently 8 capsules of phenol Assist.. Hoping to get the number down but so far just happy to be able to tolerate these

All of these without the Phenol Assist by themselves bother me.. saved by Phenol Assist

I am super responder .. I have even just started to react to epsom salts which helps helps with some severe pain in my lower abdomen... Why I react I have no idea.. And even more unbelievable to me is how I react..

I am putting the epsom salts on my skin to soak in .. Well within a few minutes and I get my "stomach " symptoms.. My muscles get very tight.. my right leg and arm get very weak.. I have learned through doing body work that it really is my stomach meridian being stressed. I now take time out ,, making a point of relaxing while doing stretching excercises for my weak arm and leg.> They I will burp . and burp and burp.. For almost an hour..If I dont burp then later I will have alot of irritable bowel cramps and pain.. Very weird.. What something on my skin has to do with getting stomach gas I may never know

I just read the description and I wonder that I would do alright with it.. I imagine though it may be alot less salicylates ? than the other forms and so I would not have to take so many phenol assist possibly..

Here is what it says.. Although the elaborate process of producing cassava root source vitamin C has one step that involves the use of corn-derived alcohol, this formula is generally well tolerated by corn allergic individuals

I may well have found why I am now sensitive to epsom salts.

Epsom salts are high in oxalates.. Well I have been drinking a fair amount of celery and parsley juice from my garden.. figuring I would get more nourishment , BUT parsley and celery are high in oxalates..

SO I figure I have reached my limit of oxalates now.. and will surely not be drinking much juice from now on.

IT is said that to decrease the amount of oxalate buildup to take magnesium.. Fortunately I so far tolerate magnesium oil made from sea salt..
