Joined the forum a couple of days ago and have been doing a lot of reading back threads/posts. I have Crohns and am sal intolerent with a
bruising/bleeding problem. I am now on a low sal diet and am taking vitamin K 2 with vitamin D 3, 45 mcg ( 1000 IU ) twice a day . I have been taking this and on the low sals diet for 6 weeks now and have seen improvement in the bruising but it is still a problem.

Does anyone know what the safe maximum dosage of vitamin K is ?

My Dr. doesn't seem to know much ( or anything about sal intolerance at all so isn't mch help.

"Vitamin K can also aid the salicylate pathways. We tried synthetic vitamin K2 and could not tolerate it. We instead use butter oil (casein free) that contains natural vitamin K, also called X-factor, (because the cows consume green grass). This really helps our salicylate issues as well. We get ours here: http://www.greenpasture.org/products/butter-oil/1000 "
