    There have been a lot of discussion lately about gluten intolerence with a few comments about using gluten free flours.

    Using gluten free flour is new to me so I have purchased a couple of GF cook books and found that most of the recipies call for Xanathan gum or Guar gum which startled me as those are two products that I have been told to never consume and avoid like the plague as I have an Inflamitory Bowel disease ( Crohns) .
    I know others here have bowel problems so thought I would post a warning to be careful using these two products if you have IBS or IBD.

    Xanathan gum is often already addded to prepared biscuit and bread flour mixes.

    Below are some quotes I found on the Internet .And I do realize using it will not bother some people but some should use caution and be aware of any potential side effects.
