Dreamy Creamy Cabbage (Low in Salicylate)

4 cups Cooked shredded cabbage

½ cup chopped leeks

1 handful chives

1 handful parsley

1-3 gloves garlic

¼ cup melted butter

1 cup dry bread crumbs (I recommend using homemade bread to avoid the preservatives)

2 cups Basic Plan and Simple White Sauce (see recipe under sauces category)

¾ cup shredded white un-dyed cheese

Mix the bread crumbs with ¼ cup butter and set aside.

Place cabbage in pot of boiling water and cover. Cook for about 7-8 minutes.

Mix the cooked cabbage with the chopped leeks, chives, parsley, shredded cheese and white sauce and spoon mixture into a baking dish.

Top with buttered bread crumbs.

Cook at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes.
