Maple Pear Butter (Salicylate Free)

1 large very ripe Pear, peeled, cored and mashed

¼ cup soft butter

1 and ½ Tablespoon pure maple syrup

 

Simmer mashed pear over medium heat in a small saucepan until liquid has evaporated and pear just begins to stick to the pan (about 15 minutes).

Let cool slightly and then stir in butter and maple syrup.

Let stand at room temperature to thicken.

Refrigerate until ready to use.
