Banana-Cashew Spread (Low in Salicylate)

½ Banana, peeled

3 Tablespoons cashew butter (make sure there are not preservatives in it – I recommend making your own by pureeing cashews in a food processor)

Drizzle of maple syrup

 

Mash the banana in a bowl and add in the remaining ingredients.

Mix thoroughly.

Serve on homemade bread, pancakes, or use it as a dip for pear or apple slices (make sure both are peeled and if you use apples make sure they are golden delicious apples only).
